  • The Women’s Business Center of Kentucky provides training, one-on-one counseling, and access to capital resources for women and minority entrepreneurs across the Commonwealth. Our mission is to support sustainable business growth, economic mobility, and job creation — with a strong emphasis on serving rural and underserved communities.

  • Our services are open to women entrepreneurs at all stages — from idea phase to established business owners looking to scale. While we focus on women-owned businesses, we also serve entrepreneurs and small business owners from underserved communities who are seeking guidance and resources.

  • We offer:

    • One-on-one business counseling

    • Access to capital education and lender connections

    • Financial literacy and bookkeeping training

    • Business planning and growth strategy support

    • Workshops, summits, and networking events

    • Digital skills and technology navigation support

    Many of our initiatives are designed based on direct feedback collected from our client community to ensure we are addressing real-time business needs.

  • Yes. Expanding access to resources in rural Kentucky is a priority for WBC. We offer hybrid and virtual programming to ensure entrepreneurs outside of major metro areas can access high-quality business education, mentorship, and funding connections.

  • Most WBC Kentucky counseling services are provided at no cost to clients due to federal and community funding partnerships. Some special events or advanced programs may have a registration fee.

  • Yes. We provide education on preparing for capital, financial documentation, credit readiness, and introductions to lending partners. While we do not directly issue loans, we work closely with funding institutions to position clients for success.

  • Signature events include the Women in Business Summit, Strong Women Strong Coffee series, networking opportunities, and community-based programs designed to foster growth, collaboration, and leadership development across Kentucky.

  • You can support WBC Kentucky by:

    • Becoming a sponsor or community partner

    • Volunteering as a mentor or workshop facilitator

    • Attending or promoting our events

    • Making a financial contribution to expand services statewide
